DC Kiphire appeals respective department officers “to be very cautious”

The monthly meeting of the Kiphire District Planning and Development Board was held at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner Kiphire with vice chairmen DPDB & DC, Sedevekho Khro chairing the programme.
Reviewing the meeting minutes and addressing the gathering, the DC said it is sad to learn that only one officer was present out of the 34 offices checked by the administration. The DC told the officers that they will not be warned next time but action will be initiated against the defaulters.
The DC appealed to the officers present in the district to leave a foot print in the district by helping the citizens in the district in respective department where each one knows best.
Relating to ‘personal work’ in government sector, the DC said that when it comes to personal needs, there is no limit and it can go on and on and asked the officers to work like ‘personal work’ in all front. He also warned the officers to “be very cautious as the district is very unique which is not seen is any district in the state.”
Sharing his observation on roads and the drains the DC said that roads have become rivers which are causing lot of inconveniences for the citizen. He added that citizens lack civic sense is causing the problems in all areas.
The DC also asked the department to give write up and photograph for DPDB magazine within a couple of days while adding that if any department is missed out, one should not complain later added.
ADC Pungro Wennyei Konyak while sharing his opinion suggested that the DPDB write to the Urban Department to at least give one JCB and Dumper truck to the district so that it can act as emergencies whenever there is blockade or any need arises in the district. Benjamin SDO (C) highlighted on DDMA and gave a brief overall view of how relief is being given whenever there is disaster.
EE PWD L. Kisheto SWU while giving a departmental presentation said that the department has no equipments because of that even, if there is road blockade due to landslide or drainage problems, the department cannot do anything.
He appealed the DPDB members present to extend solidarity with the division to provide some machinery to Kiphire PWD division.
The DPDB meeting was followed by 3rd DDMA meeting of the district. LADF 2016-17 was also approved by the house.
