Medziphema, April 25 (MExN): Defending champions Tsiepama Youth Organisation, KYC ‘B’, MVYO and Winfield FC on Tuesday booked their respective berths in the quarterfinals of the Frolic Cup. Day 7 of the Frolic Cup saw a sunny day for the first time since the tournament began. The first match on the day saw a battle of skills between with the defending champions TYO taking on a church youth team, BKK TBCM. The defending champions eventually prevailed winning 5-3. The second match had two teams from one club as KYC 'A' took on KYC 'B'. Amid deafening cheers from supporters, the 'B' came away with a clean sweep, winning 5-0. MVYO took on Zoungam FC in the third match and despite the mercury soaring above 31°C, the spirited MVYO players were rampant as they won by a thumping 7-1. In the last game of the day, a formidable Winfield FC, Medziphema took on a promising Young Generation, Old Piphema. Winfield had little trouble as they eased to a comfortable 4-0 win.
