
Kohima, January 22 (MExN): Kohima Chamber of Commerce & Industries (KCCI) has expressed deep shock over the killing of Helal Uddin, “a petty businessman”, on the evening of January 20 around 6.30 pm at Nagabazar area by unknown miscreant(s). KCCI vehemently condemned the shooting calling it “gruesome and dastardly act.” The organization also expressed dismay at the law enforcing agencies that “such incident can occur right in public places by gun-toting anti-social elements, especially when the place of incident is located just some few meters away from the North Police Station.” It further appealed to the District Administration and Police to investigate and nab the perpetrator(s) at the earliest and deliver justice.
Muslim Welfare Society Kohima
Muslim Welfare Society Kohima has also condemned the killing of Helal Uddin, son of Sayabour Rahman of Lama Bahadurpur, Karimganj district, Assam. The Society’s president Nazrul Hoque in a press release said that the victim, who runs a grocery shop at Nagabazar, Kohima Town, was shot dead inside his shop. It urged the law enforcement agencies to bring the culprit to book.
