Demise of Central Committee Member of NNC lt Yevecho mourned

Dimapur, August 11 (MExN): The Naga National Council, Urra is saddened on hearing the demise of Yevecho S/o Hunezo of Upper Kho Village, Phek Sub-Region.
He is most dedicated senior Naga leader, who became Central Committee Member of NNC as a choice and entrustment thereof on the instance of 26th February, 2010. He represented his Sub-Region people in particular and Naga people at large and dedicatedly and bravely served the Naga nation through out his life that inspired us and surely the coming generation as well.
NNC Vice President, B. Pashen in a condolence message said that late Yevecho knew well what he had been doing to promote the Naga cause and his demised is grievous loss for the Nagas, while his national service is badly needed to overcome evil designs of the enemy to destroy our people and Nagaland. To fill up the vacuum would remain difficult. NNC conveys deep sorrow and grief to the bereaved family members, relatives and friends, and pray the Lord God to grant them protection and solace at this hour of grief and may the departed soul rest in peace.
Meanwhile, the Federal Government of Nagaland, Wung Region has extended condolence to the bereaved family members and relatives of late Yevecho Nienu, CCM, NNC and expressed deepest grief and distress over the sudden demise of late Yevecho Nienu, CCM, NNC on August 7, 2011 at his Village Upper Khomi, Chakhesang Region, Nagaland.
Capt. (Retd.) L. Yirei, Midan Peyu, Wung (Tangkhul) Region, FGN in a condolence message stated that late Yevecho Nienu, CCM, NNC an octogenarian was one of the senior most leaders of the original NNC/FGN. He was a sincere national leader and a great sympathizer to the sufferers of the nation. He used to give gifts to various national leaders and even to a fellow worker like me. The Capt also recollects that late Yevecho once at oking on September 14, 2010 at around 10.00 a.m. tightly embraced me and said, “Be brave and exalt the nation”. This was the last meet and precious encouragement of him and I never forget it.
His demise is a heavy loss and irrecoverable for the nation, community and fellow friends. Yet his true sacrifice and precious deeds for the nation shall always remain alive in the history of the nation. May his soul rest in peace and may the good Lord confer peace and prosperity to the bereaved family members and relatives, the FGN prays.
