
Tseminyu, November 25 (DIPR): Joint Secretary, Minority Affairs, Government of India, J. Alam (IAS) held a meeting with regard to demonetization on November 24 in Tseminyu. The meeting was held with GBs, village council chairmen, VDB secretaries of adjoining villages and departmental officers of Tseminyu. J. Alam said that the objective of demonetization is to remove corruption in the country. He urged upon the gathering not to involve in illegal transaction through their bank accounts during the process of demonetization, which he said is for short period of time. He further said that different values of currency notes will be available from everywhere.
Meanwhile, Tseminyu Departmental Coordination Meeting was also held on November 24 at ADC conference hall under the chairmanship of ADC Tseminyu, Vikhweno Meratsu. The meeting discussed Tseminyu Town Council electioneering matters where the ADC and AERO Tseminyu informed the departmental officers to submit the list of staff employees with their contact numbers and their village name to ADC office at the earliest. The meeting also decided to conduct sensitization campaign in the villages of Tseminyu sub-division on the current demonetization process on November 29. Departmental badminton tournament was decided to be held on December 8, 2016 where every department is to participate compulsorily.
