Dimapur, February 12 (MExN): Minister for PWD (Housing & Mechanical), Tongpang Ozukum visited the proposed site for construction of Demonstration Housing Project at Sematila PWD Housing Complex Dimapur on February 11.
Minister Tongpang stated that Demonstration Housing Project which is funded by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development will be a huge infrastructural boon for a resource crunch state like Nagaland. He stated that the project which will cater to the needs of people from different walks of life is expected to commence soon and that the department officials are already coordinating with the concerned ministry officials to execute the work at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the Minister, on behalf of the State Government, acknowledged Amardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, GoI for allocating this project in Nagaland, stated a press release from the Press Secretary of the Minister.
Demonstration Housing Project which is under ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, GoI, will be executed by Building Materials & Technology Promotion Council (BMTPC) using new and alternate building materials and technologies in preference of the conventional technologies.
