Dimapur, July 21 (MExN): Three days front line demonstration on use of bio-fertilizers on Legumes and SRI (System of Rice Intensification) on paddy was conducted by ATMA Dimapur at Xelhozhe village under Kuhuboto Block.
Dimapur DAO & PD (ATMA) Ahovi Sema in a press release said that the farmers were trained on preparation of raised seed bed for Soyabean and Groundnut on June 23. The preparation of nursery for SRI was also demonstrated on the same day. Use of Bio-fertilizers on Soyabean and Groundnut were demonstrated the next day and were sown in the prepared seed bed maintaining proper line and spacing. The transplanting of the rice seedlings under SRI was demonstrated to the farmers on July 5. Sensitive
The master trainers were Bendanglila, APP and Wochamo, AO. ATMA officials were also present to assist in the demonstration process. The demonstration is at the initial stage and through this front line demonstration, the farmers will see and judge for themselves the results of the
demonstration.
