Dimapur, January 17 (MExN): 6 Assam Rifles conducted free Dental camp at Wakching Village on January 9, 2011 under aegis of Headquarters 7 Sector Assam Rifles. A team comprising of two Doctors and medical staff conducted the camp.
A press note issued by Lt Col RP Velu, PRO, IGAR (N) stated that a total of 160 patients including ladies and children received free dental treatment and free medicines. The camp was conducted from early morning till late evening, to attend to the patients who had come from far away villages. The note stated that the camp was a huge success and the villagers and civil administration whole heartedly praised the noble gesture, while expressing their heartfelt gratitude for the dental camp. Meanwhile, Assam Rifles on their part, promised the villagers of their continued support to the population & their effort to live up to their reputation as ‘Friends of the Hill People’.
