Kohima, June 26 (MExN): A dental health camp was conducted at Kidima village in Kohima on June 24 under the theme ‘Oral health for healthy Life.’

The camp screened 164 persons with 35 general patients, 47 under extraction, 64 under restoration (permanent and temporary) etc.

Earlier, addressing the camp, Dr Theyiephrezo Khimiao, Director (Dental), Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland, Kohima said that the growing burden of oral disease has become the most common disease faced by the people. Dr Khimiao stressed on the need to focus more on preventive aspects.

Kidima Village Council Chairman, Zakito Thol thanked the officials and doctors for conducting the camp in the village.

The programme was chaired by Dr Savi Naleo, Dental Surgeon, Community Health Centre Viswema while vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Arenla Walling, senior dental surgeon and District Oral Health officer, Kohima
The programme was organized by National Oral Health Programme, Kohima, Nagaland.
