Dimapur, October 13 (MExN): The District Education Officer of Dimapur advises all heads of school institutions to take a number of suggested measures for the safety of children. The DEO of Dimapur said the guide is being issued in view of the recent spate of kidnappings, of children, in the city. According to the measures suggested by DEO Kitoli Naje, parents and guardians are to escort, leave and pick up their children and wards. School authorities and heads of institutions are to immediately inform the police if any “abnormal situation” occurs “within the campus.” The DEO advised vigilance on the part of the school authorities and parents for the safety of the children.
