Kohima, July 28 (MExN): Heads of both Government and private educational institutions under the District Education Officer, Kohima have been informed to forward cases of eligible and deserving teachers for State award and financial assistance.
For the State award 2017, the teachers should be a recipient of district award for teachers. The selection process for state award shall be based purely on merit and not on the length of his/her service as teacher on any other consideration. Incomplete information and documents shall be summarily rejected, the DEO, Neizetuonuo stated in a press release.
The criteria for the financial assistance from the national foundation for teachers’ welfare are: Permanent disability of the teacher, Prolonged treatment for his/her own ailment or ailment of wife/children/husband/dependent parents, Untimely death of the incumbent, Natural calamity of devastating nature for which grant/relief was not received from any other sources.
The recommendation format can be obtained from the office of the DEO with immediate effect during office hour and the same, duly filled, along with 4 recent passport size photographs should be submitted latest by August 4, 2017.
