Dimapur, November 27 (MExN): The Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) handed over one refrigerated van to the beneficiary Vishito Kinimi of Dimapur District after a short handing over programme presided over by the Scheme-in-Charge Neitho-o Kuotsu held at the Directorate premises on November 26.
A press note stated that Kevisa Kense, Director of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in his brief address highlighted the importance and need to encourage more Entrepreneurs to take up fishery related activities and also develop more post harvest Infrastructure facilities which would facilitate and promote marketing of locally produced table fish. He hoped that the beneficiary would make optimum use of the facility by engaging in collection, procuring and selling of locally produced fish and fishery products and thereby making it available to the local consumers in a good and hygienic condition.
