KOHIMA, JUNE 2 (MExN): The Department of Higher & Technical Education bid farewell to the retiring Commissioner & Secretary Anenla T Sato at the conference hall, Directorate of Higher Education, Kohima on May 31.
In her farewell speech, Anenla said that she was thankful and grateful to God and the Government of Nagaland for availing her good health and 36 years of service. She acknowledged the NCS Association for inducting her into IAS Cadre. She also narrated about her early entry to the service career where she served under various departments such as, Industry, Higher & Technical Education, SCRT, RD, Police and finally landed in NCS.
Anenla also expressed her happiness to the associate, all the staff and Directors of Higher and Technical Education, for leaving behind with no pending files and works. Sharing her thoughts, she pointed out that she is planning to come up with entrepreneurship after retirement.
Sentiyanger Pongen, Additional Secretary H&TE, in his speech, said that Anenla T Sato is a soft spoken, gentle and a woman of strong character with love and care for the subordinates in the office. He also assured that her legacy will be carried forward in the days to come.
Earlier the program was chaired by V Lovitoly Sema, Joint Secretary, H&TE; invocation by Rokono Keyho, Joint Director Higher Education, and welcome address by Er Vipulhou Lhoung, Director, Technical Education. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr A Nshoga, Director, Higher Education.
