Departmental coordination meeting in Bhandari

Bhandari, August 7 (MExN): The monthly departmental coordination meeting of Bhandari sub division was held at the conference hall of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bhandari on August 7. Chairing the meet, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tiameren Chang, welcomed two NCS probation officers and others officers recently posted to the sub division, a DIPR report stated. 

After reviewing the previous meeting minutes, the ADC expressed gratitude to the officers of the sub division for their concern and cooperation in gifting a traffic island to the denizens of the Bhandari town. He also thanked the public, the students’ and NGO leaders who were present, for their support in helping the government servants in bringing in innovative developmental initiatives to the public.

The ADC also encouraged them to make use of the Ambulance service which was flagged off recently to assist the public in need with a very reasonable service charge.

While discussing about preparedness for the upcoming Independence Day celebration, 2019, the ADC reminded the departments to carry out their assigned duties on time.

In the meeting Deputy Director, Nagaland State Seed Farm gave a powerpoint presentation to highlight its departmental activities and stated that while it is trying to tap and exploit the full potential in the field of agronomy, it would help more if the department is placed with proper staff Quarters, good condition approach road and effective irrigation dam.

SBI Bhandari branch also highlighted on their banking activities within the sub division and encouraged the members present to avail the benefits through banking under different schemes which are economic, business and education friendly for children. 

Power department was entrusted to highlight its departmental activities through powerpoint presentation in the next coordination meeting.

ADC, in his closing remarks also stated that officers in charge of departments who make it a habit of not attending the Coordination meetings continuously for months should not make it a habit without genuine reasons and must participate in the monthly meetings as a platform for discussion with a purpose to deliver the best possible service to the people.

Earlier in the day, the house along with public, church, NGOs and students’ leaders inaugurated the newly constructed Traffic Island, which was sponsored by officers posted at Bhandari sub division, 2018 to 2019 batch.
Lochumlo Mozhui, women pastor, Baptist Church, Bhandari town pronounced the dedicatory prayer after it was inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bhandari, Tiameren Chang.
