Kohima, July 1 (MExN): Agriculture & Allied Department organised a farewell programme for T Imkonglemba Ao, IAS retiring Agriculture Production Commissioner & Principal Secretary to the Government of Nagaland (GoN) at Japfu Hotel Kohima on June 29. A press release issued by the Directorate of Agriculture, Kohima stated that the programme was organized in honor of the retiring officer, after serving in the state Government in different capacity for 36 years.
Presiding over the programme, chairperson Anjelina Tajen, Joint Secretary (APC Cell) & State Project Director congratulated the retiring APC of the Department and lauded him for his valuable contribution at various levels during his entire service career.
Nungsangwapang Jamir, Addl Secretary, Agriculture read the Service profile of the retiring officer, while M K Mero, Principal Secretary Horticulture and Temsinaro Aier, Addl Secretary Agriculture both delivered farewell speech. Director of Agriculture, M Ben Yanthan greeted T Imkonglemba Ao and acknowledged him for making the cadre review of the Department of Agriculture a reality, which benefitted all the officers in terms of promotion and proper placement.
T Imkonglemba speaking on the event, said that his “36 years of service under Government of Nagaland was a big achievement and it was only made possible by the grace of God to occupy the top most position with good health and sound mind.” T Renben Lotha, Director of Land Resources Development and Dr. Kruolalie Tsurho, team leader Nagaland Bio-Resource Mission also spoke in the farewell programme.
