Kohima, April 4 (DIPR): A felicitation programme of L. Khumo Khiam, Advisor of the Department of Economics & Statistics, was held on April 4 at the DES Conference Hall.
The programme was chaired by Y. Sacheo Ovung, Director. He welcomed the Advisor and congratulated him on behalf of the Department. An appraisal on the activities of the Department was given by R. Kronu, Addl. Director.
L. Khumo Khiam in his speech thanked the Department for organising a programme to welcome him. Considering the achievements and activities undertaken, he acknowledged the Director and the staff and stated that the Department is an important functionary of the State.
Elaborating on the work ethics and culture that needs to be followed, he expressed that the Department of Economics & Statistics should be an example to the rest of the other Departments in the State.
Assuring the best of his time and service so long as he is with the Department, he called upon for cooperation from each and everyone to strengthen the Department for the benefit of all.
