Kohima, December 13 (MExN): The department of Rural Development today observed advent Christmas at RD Conference Hall along with secretariat and NRLM staffs.
In his Christmas greeting, Commissioner and Secretary, RD, Bendangkokba, IAS urged upon all to have the spirit of Christ and to be humble and kind while celebrating the birth of Christ.
God has given us life and has blessed us all year from January till the last month of the year, he said and called upon all to be grateful and give thanks to the Lord for the many blessing.
Speaking on the importance of department gathering, Director RD, Imlimeren Jamir maintained that times like this create platform to know each other better as it breaks down the hierarchical barrier that is created by virtue of being in an office. He said it is an excellent time to interact among ourselves so as to foster an environment that promotes an atmosphere of warmth and oneness as fellow workers.
The celebration was marked by offering for Orphanage Home, lucky dip, sharing Christmas blessings and Christmas feast. The programme was chaired by K. Neibou Sekhose, Joint Director, RD.
