Deputy CM hails Rs 15 cr drug haul by Nagaland Police

Kohima, June 19 (MExN): Narcotic substances worth an estimated Rs 15 crore have been seized and five individuals arrested in recent operations conducted by the Nagaland Police, Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Y Patton said on June 19.

The operations, carried out under the leadership of Director General of Police Rupin Sharma, mark a significant development in the state’s campaign against drugs, Patton said in a statement issued by his media cell.

“These operations reflect the commitment and coordination of the police force in tackling drug-related offences,” Patton said. “The seizures and arrests send a clear message that such activities will not be tolerated in our society. Every action taken contributes to protecting our communities and supporting those working towards a drug-free Nagaland.”

He also acknowledged the efforts of the police personnel involved in the operations, stating that their work strengthens the collective resolve to build a “safer and healthier society.”

The Deputy CM called on the public to continue supporting the goal of a ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’.
