Deputy CM, Nagaland BJP laud PM

Kohima, August 7 (MExN): Nagaland’s deputy chief minister Y Patton and Nagaland state BJP president and minister for higher & technical education and tribal affairs Temjen Imna Along today lauded the “bold and daring steps” taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister and National BJP President Amit Shah,  and also,  all the NDA Alliance Partners,  for revoking and abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution,  which has taken away with it Article 35 (A), thereby stripping the Special Constitutional Provisions from Jammu and Kashmir by bifurcating it into two Union Territories.


Uplifting the spirit and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Ladakh, it has also paved the way for all round development and progress in the Kashmir valley, stated a press release received here today.


“Prime Minister Narendra Modiji has in his tenure, taken some note worthy steps and decisions, with a clear vision to realize it's National ambitions while at the same time, keeping the regional spirit of the people realized,” the release added. 


Echoing the same sentiments conveyed by Union Home Minister and National President Amit Shah, who has stated in no uncertain terms, that the States designated with Special Powers under Article 371 (A) of the Indian Constitution will be respected, and that Modi government has no such intention to remove the Special Provisions.


While lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister and National President Shah,  on the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, Patton and Along  assured the people of the state that "situation in Jammu and Kashmir is completely different from the state of Nagaland," and added that, in case of any such situation, the Nagaland State BJP will stand in unison with the rest of the Nagas, to realize the regional aspirations of the Naga people.
