Dimapur, July 19 (MExN): Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton has condemned the shooting of a staff member of a transport company by armed miscreants in Dimapur on July 18. In a statement issued by the Media Cell of the Deputy Chief Minister's Office, Patton expressed his firm stance against violence and intimidation. "Violence and intimidation have no place in society, and therefore, I call for severe punishment of the perpetrators," he stated. Patton underscored the importance of upholding law and order and ensuring that such incidents do not recur.
Patton assured the public that the authorities are fully committed to delivering justice. "The authorities will spare no effort to see that justice is delivered and ensure the safety of the people," he said. The Deputy Chief Minister also extended his thoughts and prayers to the injured staff member, wishing them a speedy recovery.
