
Kohima, February 11 (MExN): Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton has expressed sadness over the passing of Yanbemo Kikon, Commissioner and Secretary, Government of Nagaland. In a condolence message, the Deputy CM noted that late Kikon initially served as a lecturer at Mt Tiyi College before joining the state administration as a Circle Officer in 1982. He retired as Commissioner and Secretary in 2014.
Remembering him as a proficient history teacher and a humble and dedicated officer, the Deputy CM stated that late Kikon served the government and the people with efficiency and termed his demise a great loss, particularly for the Chukitong range. He also extended condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
