NSCN/GPRN Ato Kilonser Th Muivah today said that time has come to decide for the salvation of Nagas by coming together and understanding each other. If we can’t take the right decision now Nagas will perish, he said while addressing the public here at the Tseminyu Town Hall. Muivah said that today the solution has to be searched basing on Naga history, adding that at this point despite the differences in the past Nagas should come together and reconcile. It is high time for Nagas to come together, he said.
Muivah said the NNC during the leadership of A.Z Phizo took the right decision at the right time that Naga will decide their own and take decision - that is independent and sovereignty. He termed it as the best decision which showed the way for Nagas. He also said that the declaration of “Nagaland for Christ” is another right step, which he said reflects the eternal salvation, adding “Our leaders did not fail us.”
He asserted that because of them were not lost people today, adding they had taken right decision at the right time.
Muivah however said that Shillong Accord amounted to selling the rights of Naga people.
He was also appreciative of the people of Rengma for standing firm and their contributions on Naga national cause from the beginning till today. He said thought Rengma is small tribe, they hold “honourable history,” for which he has trust on them.
Stating that they (Rengma people) have not failed on Naga political issue, he believed that they will continue to do so.
Other who spoke on the occasion, Kenyuseng Tep, advisor, Rengma Hoho, Khillo G. Rengma, former advisor Rengma Hoho and Qhehezu Tuku, co-convenor, Steering Committee. The function was chaired by Zukeya Woch, general secretary Rengma Hoho while Maiwalo Apon, pastor, Tseminyu Town Baptist Church said invocation prater. Vote of thanks was proposed by M S Khing, vice president, Rengma Hoho.
