Dimapur April 5 (MExN): The BJP Wokha taking cognizance at the various developmental activities being undertaken in Wokha stated that “after long years of darkness” citizens of Wokha are now experiencing a new era of development.
Maintaining that the present DAN government has enabled the people to avail ‘development after development’ BJP Wokha General Secretary L Meribemo Kinghen stated that “the long thirsts of weary Lothas are quenched. The people are now receiving development after development during the present regime”.
Terming as another major shower of blessing the Prime Minister’s package, the BJP informed of the various developmental activities under the said package.
Citing as instance the maintenance and upgrading of public utilities namely roadways, sanitation and drainage systems “which will shine the entire Wokha town making the citizens much comfort”, the BJP stated that under the PM’s package, 95% of Wokha roads will be beautified.
The BJP credited the various, developmental works taking place in Wokha town to Minister Dr TM Lotha and that the people were now enjoying the fruits of the minister’s dedication and efficiency, knowledge and wisdom.
General Secretary Kinghen on behalf of the party extended congratulation to the minister for “achieving uncountable major developmental projects” and for improving the economic conditions of the people of Wokha.
The minister was also lauded for his initiative in the construction of the Wokha-Merapani road. The party also while urging contractors carrying out the activities under the Prime Minister’s package to work diligently for the welfare of the public, appealed to the every sections of the NGOs, political leaders, student leaders and the general public to co-operate with the development undertakings currently underway.
