DFD commemorates World Ozone Day 2024

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 15 (MExN):  With renewed commitment to protect the Ozone layer, which is responsible helping in preserving ecosystems, biodiversity, protection from skin cancer, cataracts and several health issues; the World Ozone Day 2024 was observed by Dimapur Forest Division at the Conference Hall, Forest Office Complex along with colony residents, ministerial and executive staff. 

According to a press release, Beizo Suokhrie, IFS, DFO delivered the session on the theme “Montreal Protocol: Advancing Climate Action” reflecting the Montreal Protocol's crucial role in both protecting the ozone layer and driving broader climate action initiatives globally. Earlier, Bendangtemsu, FR highlighted the importance and role of Ozone layer.

The program was chaired by Temsulong, FR and vote of thanks pronounced by Shilumayang, FR cum Chairman, Forest Colony Dimapur.
