DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 13 (MExN): Tribal Hustlers beat Aphuyemi FC while SM College and Tribal United were held to a draw at the ongoing Dimapur Football League (DFL) on September 13.
In the first match, league toppers Tribal United were held to a high scoring 3-3 draw by SM College.
The first goal of the match was scored by Meyiakum of Tribal United at the 15th minute followed by Rhitso of SM College at the 32nd minute. The other two goals for SM College were scored by Thanglenhao during the second half at the 43rd minute and 59th minutes respectively.
For Tribal United, Kato scored at the 42nd minute while Ngullie helped his team draw level at the 61st.
The second match of the day saw second placed Tribal Hustlers beat Aphuyemi FC by 3 goals to 1.
Yavikolie of Tribal Hustlers was the star performer of the match scoring a hattrick. He scored in the 22nd, 32nd and 39th minutes. Yekivi Swu from Aphuyemi FC was the lone scorer for his team as well with a goal in the 24th minute.
Match patron of the day, entrepreneur Betoka Swu lauded the Naga United FC for annually organizing the event and promoting young footballers in the district. He encouraged the players to be disciplined and exhibit their true sportsmanship spirit.
