DG Rotary International District 3240 visits Kohima

Kohima, October 30 (MExN): District Governor of Rotary International District 3240 Rtn. Dr. Mohan S Konwar visited Kohima on October 29 last and interacted with Rotarians of Rotary Club Kohima.

In his official visit, Dr. Konwar was accompanied by first lady Minoo Konwar and assistant governor Zone –IX District 3240 Ashok Kumar Agarwal.

Speaking at the 1st Business Session at Hotel Japfü, Konwar requested the rotarians to extend their best service to the public with utmost sincerity and dedication. He also urged the members to do something good for the people, and also to plan out something positive with new innovative ideas which can transform the society at large.

Rtn. Kezhokhoto Savi, president Rotary Club Kohima said that this year’s theme of Rotary International is “Serve to change lives” where a change maker is someone who is taking creative action to solve a social problem and change making involves empathy, thoughtfulness, creativity, taking action and collaborative leadership.

Meanwhile, Rtn. Kevileno Solo have been conferred with Paul Harris Fellow and while Rupin Sharma, IPS have been inducted as honorary member of Rotary Club Kohima.

In his secretary report, Rtn. Dr. Ketoulelhou Vizo informed that Rotary Club, Kohima donated oxygen concentrators, oximeters, face masks and sanitizers to Community Health Centre, Pfutsero and Primary Health Centre, Khezhakeno both under the district of Phek on October 22.

Earlier, the introduction of District Governor was done by Rtn. Pikato V. Jimomi while vote of thanks was pronounced by Rtn. Dr. Rosemary Dzuvichu.
