DIMAPUR, September 1 (MExN): The Principal, Vice Principal, teaching faculty and all the staff of Dimapur Government College (DGC) have expressed sadness at the passing away of the college’s former Principal, Professor N Imsen Ao on August 30. He served as the fourth principal in the college from 1976-1990, the longest term as principal so far.
A press release from Dr Moanochet Longchar, Principal, DGC said that late Professor N Imsen Ao joined the college in 1966 as a lecturer and it was during his time as Principal that the College was taken over by the Government in 1989.
“In his passing away, we have lost a tall and visionary educationist. His immense contribution towards the overall growth of the college will always be cherished and remembered,” it stated. The DGC expressed sincere condolences and share solidarity with the bereaved family in this time of grief and prayed that God will grant them peace and solace.
