Dimapur, October 16 (MExN): The Dimapur Government College Students' Council (DGCSC) has condemned the alleged assault on a student of the college that occurred in the early hours of October 10.
According to the council, the victim, a Bachelor of Commerce student in the 3rd Semester, was “extorted and beaten up by a group of unknown individuals” between 4:00 and 5:00 AM on October 10.
Describing the physical assault and extortion against the innocent student as intolerable, infuriating, and deplorable, the DGCSC urged the relevant agencies and departments to take serious measures to identify the culprits and ensure they are punished according to the law.
The council also extended its support and prayers for the student, wishing for a speedy recovery and justice.
