The DGP, Nagaland Police, has debarred personnel attached to the Police Headquarters, Kohima from participating in the proposed ‘solidarity assembly-cum-signature campaign’ on June 18. In a departmental order, which was not released to the media, DGP Rupin Sharma directed “all the personnel/staff of Police Headquarters to abstain from conducting/attending this meeting” terming it as against the Service Conduct Rules. “Any violation in this regard shall be viewed very seriously,” read the order, copies of which were endorsed to the Chief Secretary, Commissioner & Secretary to CM, Home Department and department officers.
