
Nagaland has highest beneficiaries under Stand-up India scheme
Dimapur, October 16 (MExN): The Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) inaguarated its Northeast office in Guwahati on October 13, and officially initiated the Nagaland chapter with the appointment of K Kathi Chishi as the state’s coordinator. Nagaland is the first chapter to be inaugurated in the NE states.
According to a press release received here, the organization currently has about 150 members in the NE states and has been already assisting beneficiaries all over region under the Stand-up India Scheme.
The scheme is implemented in partnership with Indian Oil Cooperation Limited (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Cooperation Limited by means of providing LPG Tankers to ST/SC candidates (Schedule Tribe/Schedule Caste), it said.
The DICCI has assisted beneficiaries to the tune of Rs 1 crore bank loan and to become a direct partner of IOCL as oil tankers contractors and assisting the beneficiaries with direct corporate tie-ups with various banks, truck industries like TATA, Ashok Leyland, REIS etc, it added.
So far all beneficiaries of NE have been selected by IOCL with Nagaland being the highest at 57 with an expected sanction of Rs. 57 crore, the release further informed.
