‘Dichterliebe: Songs of Love’ recital today

Mharhomo Kithan will hold his graduation recital entitled Dichterliebe: Songs of Love on May 29, around 5:30 pm at the City Prayer Centre Darogapathar.   This recital will feature some of the great works for the tenor voice in the Western Classical Music Repertory; songs of yesteryears but still relevant to us today. Handel’s famous tenor arias will be included, Mozart arias from controversial operas: Cosi Fan Tutte and Don Giovanni, the celebrated cycle of love songs by Schumann: Dichterliebe, to name a few.

  The main feature of this vocal recital is the song cycle Dichterliebe that speaks of great love and the unfathomable pain of love lost. It will take you to that journey under 16 songs of love, pain, and resignation.   Mharhomo Kithan is one of the most outstanding students at the Nagaland Conservatory of Music (NCM). He has toured and performed at some key cities in Norway and several European countries together with Nagaland Singing Ambassadors.   Admission is free.
