Mon, July 30 (MExN): One day awareness programme on HIV & AIDS and substance abuse with the trainees (Pre-Service and In-Service) was held at DIET Mon on July 27. Dr. Supongmeren, SMO, District Hospital shared on the topic of HIV & AIDS - prevention, treatment and myths and misconception, while Ingaupeule Zeliang, OST Counselor, District Hospital briefed on the basics of substance abuse.
Longyim Tzudir, DPO, DAPCU, who facilitated the programme, thanked the DIET authority for organizing the programme and further expressed hope that as teachers, they will be messengers in educating youngsters to combat HIV & AIDS.
The programme which was attended by trainees along with faculty members began with welcome note by B. Rolland, Vice Principal, DIET Mon.
