'Digital Democracy: Redesigning 21st century democracy on Blockhain'

Dimapur, December 9 (MExN): A training on Digital Democracy: Redesigning 21st century democracy on Blockhain was held on December 8 at Dimapur. Social activist Mathew K Janger welcomed the gathering and highlighted the new leadership trends in different parts of the world. The programme was attended by representatives of MiVote (Global) and MiVote India organisations.  

Adam Jacoby, CEO of MiVote and Joydeep Mondal, CEO of MiVote India dealt in length the need of Digital Democracy for a transparent and accountable democracy.  

A press release from Mathew K Janger informed that MiVote has developed its own model in Digital Democracy, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of United Nations. The representatives of MiVote mentioned that they endorse right and willing candidates for Assembly or Parliament elections. They provide them with publicity and technical support.  

The press release also said stated that MiVote is not a political organization but a platform for facilitating political parties and aspiring candidates.It does not have any political position or political ideology. The candidates endorsed by MiVote may be from any political party or may be independents.  

The system gathers the views of the majority of the people on any important issue at any time and the candidates endorsed by MiVote if elected will raise the issues at appropriate forum.  

The participants received certificates for attending the training on Digital Democracy.
