The Dihoma Village Youth & Sports Organization (DVYSO) today organized its 56th annual wrestling meet 2023 at Dihoma in Kohima district.
In senior category, Khriezovor Yano emerged the champion title and pocketed Rs 20,000. Visezhü Lhoungu and Avituo Tsükrü stood 2nd and 3rd position and awarded with Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively.
19 wresters joined the senior category.
In junior category, Meletuo Zhale secured first position while Vikhotsolie Yano and Thepfuletuo Theünuo stood 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
They were awarded with Rs 8000, Rs 6000 and Rs 4000 respectively.
The 56th annual wrestling meet in Dihoma village showcased sportsmanship, community engagement, and the enduring tradition of competition.
Earlier, Er Vipulhou Lhoungu, Director, Technical Education, Government of Nagaland and Thepfuneilhou Yashü, Chairman, Dihoma Village Council graced the meet as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
