Dimapur, April 4 (MExN): Dimapur Police on Monday recovered one unidentified dead body near Tourist Lodge, Dimapur. Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime) & PRO, Dimapur in an update stated that on April 3, at around 0820 hrs, Revisie Pochi C/o Tourist Lodge, Dimapur informed East Police Station, Dimapur that one unknown dead body was lying near the 2nd gate at Tourist Lodge.
Accordingly, East PS duty party went to the PO site and found one unidentified person (non-local) age around 55-60 yrs. (approx.) lying dead on a cot facing downward towards the ground near Tourist Lodge, Dimapur, the PRO said. Inquest was conducted over the dead body and no any foul play could be established presently. It is highly suspected that the deceased must have died due to starvation, it stated.
On completion of all legal formalities, the dead body has been shifted to District Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination. The deceased was wearing white coloured checked long shirt, ash coloured half sweater, white vest, sky blue underwear and blue coloured formal pant.
