A 3 year-old boy died in a tragic road accident on February 12 in Dimapur. The accident occurred at the Clock Tower junction at around 5:00pm.
The victim was riding pillion on a motorcycle with his father. The accident reportedly occurred as they were overtaking a truck at the Clock Tower intersection.
The boy died on the spot while the father survived with minor injury. As per the Traffic police, the motorcycle was hit by a truck resulting in the death.
Both the vehicles were seized and the driver of the truck arrested, the police informed. The father of the victim was identified as Moatemsu, a resident of Lengrijan, Dimapur.
