Dimapur: 50 yr old dies in District Hospital; Police informs claimant

Dimapur, July 5 (MExN): The Dimapur Police has reported in a press release that a telephonic information was received at East Police Station, Dimapur on July 2, from a doctor of District Hospital, Dimapur stating one male patient who was brought to hospital on July 1 by general public and kept at male ward for medical care has reportedly died while undergoing treatment. 

Basing on the information, East PS duty party rushed to the spot for necessary examination, the Dy Commissioner (Crime)/PRO Dimapur stated in an update.

It is reported that one male patient identified as Dharm Das, age 50 year old, address- Rail Bazar, Dimapur was brought by general public on July 1 and admitted to male ward at District Hospital, Dimapur has reportedly expired on July 2 at around 5:45 am due to Chronic Liver Disease and severe Anaemia. 

However, reportedly no attendant or claimant came to take over the dead body. Inquest was conducted over the dead body, the PRO Dimapur stated. 

Further, on completion of all legal formalities, the dead body was shifted to District Hospital morgue for family identification and claimant.
