After the Directorate General of Civil Aviation’s (DGCA) announcement that domestic flights can resume from May 25, it has been informed that three flights are scheduled to operate at Dimapur Airport, connecting the state with Kolkata, Imphal and Guwahati.
According to flight schedules released by the DGCA on May 21, one Air India flight will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays while two Alliance Air flights will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, starting May 25, Dimapur Airport Director Mughavi Zhimo informed The Morung Express. The schedule will be applicable till June 30, he added.
However, the passengers and the airports will have to abide by the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the Airport Authority of India.
According to the new rules, passengers have to reach the airport 2 hours before the scheduled time of departure and only those who have a departure in the next four hours will be allowed to enter the terminal building.
Every passenger, with the exception of children below the age of 14, must have Aarogya Setu App downloaded in his or her phone, without which he or she will not be allowed to board the plane, the AAI said.
Passengers staying in a containment zones and those who have tested positive for the Coronavirus have been advised against travelling.
