DIMAPUR, APRIL 27 (MExN): Three armed miscreants were apprehended by Dimapur Police on April 26 around 5 pm for extorting money from a shop at Blue Hill bus stand area.
A press note received from the Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime) & PRO, Dimapur stated that the miscreants identified as Kahoto Aye (41 years), Aloto Aye (32 years) and Toika Awomi (40 years) had come in an SUV vehicle Innova (regd no DL3CAM-1272) and after committing the crime, headed towards Khermahal area.
The miscreants were intercepted from MST Khermahal area by AET team of Dimapur Police and East PS personnel. Two country made .22 pistol along with 6 live rounds were seized from their possession. A case has been registered under relevant section of the law and further investigation is in progress, the report stated.
