Dimapur Bosco B.Ed. College celebrates foundation day

Dimapur: Bosco B. Ed. College, Dimapur celebrated the 12th foundation day on March 18 in the college auditorium, with Nibu Nagi, Proprietor and Managing Director, NN Constructions and Décor, Dimapur, as the chief guest.

The publicity wing of the college in a press release said that Nibu Nagi, in his speech emphasized upon the need to impart quality education to the society. He said that the teachers are highly respected in the society and they should do justice to their duties as teachers. He called upon all the teachers to be more sincere and committed in their profession, and help build up a more honest and progressive society. He exhorted all the teachers to be more hard working, dedicated and honest in their profession.

Fr. Bosco, vice provincial of Salesian Province of Dimapur, who was the guest of honour, exhorted all the teachers to acquire as much knowledge as possible for serving the student community better. He also called upon the teachers to develop communication skills to be more effective in their profession, and to become lighted candles in order to dispel the darkness of this world and to enlighten it. Fr. TC Joseph, rector of B. Ed. College said, “A teacher’s life is directly and visibly an ‘other oriented’ life as the teacher works for the betterment and welfare of the students.”

The whole programme was a colourful and enthralling one as the B. Ed. Students put up a wide variety of well-prepared items. The programme ended with refreshment for everyone.
