Dimapur: Bosco fest culminates on a high note

The much hyped about Bosco Fest ended on a rousing note on Sunday as musicians such as Euphoria, Abhijeet Bhattacharya and Lenen delivered entertaining hit after hit on the stage at the Don Bosco School, Dimapur. 

The Bosco fest, organized by Don Bosco Alumni, Dimapur collaborating with Don Bosco alumni Kolkata and Dimapur Naga Students Union (DNSU), saw a modest crowd turn up but made up for it with their enthusiastic and positive response to each of the songs performed by the artists who took the stage. 

Lenen Jamir opened the show with several cover performances including, "Heart" by Alone," Dance Monkey” by Tones and 1 , “Love is on the way” by Saigon kick, and “Itaya Nungnu.”

The second performance saw the pop/rock Indian band Euphoria deliver a good  90 minute eclectic mix of their own hit songs, Western pop, Bollywood and even a Nagamese song for good measure.

Being it their first visit to Nagaland, the band led by front-man Palash Sen put on a powerful and energetic show with their top list songs such as "Dhoom Phichuk,” "Bhool Sab" “Tum” among many others.

Sen also engaged the gathering with one- two liners of Nagamese "Kinika ase" "Bhal asena" putting the crowd in a frenzy. 

The band also shared the stage with Alobo performing "In the end", "Rock you" and "Knocking doors" and ended their performance on the song "Alvidah".

Being their their 25th anniversary tour, the band remarked Nagaland as the most beautiful and welcoming place and wished to visit the place again, if invited.

Lenen Jamir entralled the audience with the song that made her a sensational and viral artist song "Itaya Nungo," shared the stage with Alobo Naga singing the same surprisingly in Sumi dialogue.

This was followed by the main headliner, Abhijeet Bhattacharya, who goes by professionally as Abhijeet, a popular Bollywood playback singer with many hit songs to his credit. Abhijeet has sung over 6034 songs in over 1000 films. He also performed his popular songs like “Badi Mushkil Hai”, “Chand Taare Tod Lau” and many more. He also performed the best & hit songs under Anand-Milind, Jatin-Lalit, and Anu Malik.
