Dimapur: Churches Colony appeals to maintain ‘accurate nomenclature’

Dimapur, February 2 (MExN): Churches Colony, Dimapur on Friday stated that several establishments within Churches Colony are still using the name “City Tower Area” or “City Tower” as a reference to their location. “However, it is important to note that the name “City Tower” solely refers to the former building that now houses HDFC/Bandhan Bank,” N Ghoshito Achumi, Gaon Bura, Churches Colony stated in a press release.

To avoid any confusion and maintain accurate nomenclature all businesses within Churches Colony have been notified to stop using the name “City Tower” or “City Tower Area” when referring to their location.

“Instead, we encourage you to use the proper and official term, which is “Churches Colony.” Or those establishments stretched over I. Vikheshe Sumi Road can use, ‘Churches Colony, I Vikheshe Sumi Road’, and those establishments stretched over Tajen Ao Road can use ‘Churches Colony, Tajen Ao Road’,” the GB stated.

While requesting cooperation in updating “signage, marketing materials, and any other relevant references to reflect the accurate name of our area by the end of the 2nd week of February 2024,” the GB cautioned, “Failing which, this office shall be left with no other options but to initiate its own course of action.”

“We understand that this may require some adjustments, but we believe it is in the best interest of our all. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We appreciate your prompt attention to this request and your continued efforts in making Churches Colony a cohesive and welcoming place for all,” he added.
