Dimapur DC directs dismantling of illegal structures at New Dhansiri Bridge by-pass

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 22 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur has cautioned individuals illegally constructing temporary structures and concrete pillars in land acquired by the Nagaland Government for extension of NH-39 by-pass from Amar Flour Mill to the New Dhansiri Bridge, Dimapur.  A notice from the DC informed that the land concerned include those covered by Dag No. 15, 16, 76, 307, 1154 and 1159 of Block No. 3 and 52, 61, 247, 72247 of Block No. 11.  The DC directed the concerned individuals to restrain from carrying out any further illegal developmental activities over the land covered by the aforementioned Dags. He further directed them to dismantle and remove any temporary structures on the same.  The DC meanwhile informed them to produce documents, if any, in support of their claim over the public land within a period of 15 days from the date of publication of this notice.  “In the event of failure of the concerned parties to comply with this notice, this office will be constrained to proceed for eviction as per the Nagaland Eviction of Persons in Unauthorized Occupation or Public Land Act, 1978 (As amended upto date),” it was added.
