Dimapur DC restricts movement on Chathe route

Dimapur, February 29 (MExN): The Dimapur district administration has imposed more restrictions on National Highway 29 from Chathe river bridge (Patkai Bridge) to Kukidolong, with effect from March 3 to April 3. 

In continuation of an earlier circular dated February 11, 2020, and in pursuance to the Commissioner of Nagaland letter No. CNL/4-LANE/2018 dated Kohima, February 29, 2020, the Dimapur Deputy Commissioner on Saturday extended the period of total restriction on all movement from 08:30 pm to 5:00 am (the next day) from Chathe river bridge (Patkai Bridge) to Kukidolong.


Dimapur DC Anoop Khinchi expressed regret over the restriction of movement and sought the cooperation of all. The restriction has been imposed as a preventive measure to avoid loss of life, property and other injuries, the DC’s circular said.


Alternative route from Dimapur to Kohima and vice versa is available for light vehicles via 7th Mile – New DC office – Shokhuvi – Razaphe – Mhaikam – Pimla – Mhainamtsi – Jharnapani/Medziphema and vice versa.
