Dimapur DDMA holds meeting for monsoon preparedness

Dimapur, May 9 (MExN): The first quarterly District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) tentative agenda meeting was held for monsoon preparedness in the office of the Dimapur Deputy Commissioner conference hall on May 9.

In this agenda meeting, the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur Sachin Jaiswal said the 1st quarterly meeting is held in all the districts, and also every year at the state level, stated a DIPR report. 

“How well prepared the state is to face the upcoming monsoon,” he put across and urged the respective departments that an update of DDMA weather should be carried out every month and information should be shared on the WhatsApp group so that essential needs could be delivered on time and also take up the initial action and preparation to be taken by the respective departments and be ready for any disaster in the upcoming days.

He requested the State Disaster Response Force to give training to the people nearby the riverside so that they will be aware during the flood disaster. 

In this agenda of the meeting, the presentation for monsoon preparedness was delivered by the Department of PWD (R&B), Water Resources, Dimapur Municipal Council, SDRF, Health & Family Welfare, Public Health Engineering, and Food & Civil Supplies.
