Dimapur, September 4 (MExN): All the butchers and meat traders within Dimapur district are informed that in view of providing safe and hygienic meat to the customers, all the dressed or processed meat of animals (viz cattle, buffalo, pigs) are to be sold in proper meat shops and not in the open areas or unauthorized road side, open market stalls and highways exposed to dust, flies and other pollutants which is unhygienic and may cause a lot of health issues.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, V Lovitoly Sema in an order stated that the respective colonies, wards or village authorities are also directed to see that this order is followed. Further the butchers and meat traders are directed to obtain trade license from their respective Municipal/Town Council. All are directed to comply with the order within ten days from the date of issue of this notification, failing which defaulters will be penalized as per provision of the Act.
