Dimapur, December 5 (DIPR): The monthly Dimapur District Planning and Development Board meeting for the month of December was held at DC’s Conference Hall on December 5 under the chairmanship of Parliamentary Secretary, I&FC and Chairman DPDB, Jacob Zhimomi.
The house recommended the registration of Runrun Self Help Group, Old Showuba Village, change of nomenclature of Gonyu Memorial Montessori School Chumukedima to Gonyu Memorial School Chumukedima and Eden Garden Institute Burma Camp to Eden Garden School Burma Camp. Construction of toilet in SDEO office compound, Dimapur was one of the agendas which was decided to be forwarded to the department concern.
Upgradation/ recognition from classes V-X of Spring Blossoms Academy, Thahekhu Village and proposal for opening of Rose Sharon Academy, Chungaijang Romgmei Colony, Burma Camp was not recommended as it needed proper verification to be done by the administration. Renaming of Nagarjan Road to Nimedo Sakhrie Road was also kept pending to be taken up in the next meeting after proper verification and consultation.
During the meeting departmental presentations were made by the department of PWD (R&B) and Legal Meteorology & Consumer Protection.
Jacob in his concluding remarks thanked all the members for their co-operation throughout the year.
