Dimapur, March 5 (MExN): Reviewing the minutes of the last Dimapur District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting, the Board today recommended the proposals which included  opening of New School-Bloom Academy Eralibill Dimapur; Weekly Bazaar Society, Thahekhu village-Block 4 Dimapur; Green Ura group, Medziphema town and Keystone Education Society, Aoyimti village, Dimapur.


The monthly DPDB meeting for the month of March was held on March 5 in the conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur. It was chaired by DC Dimapur, Kevekha Kevin Zehol who is also the vice chairman, DPDB Dimapur, stated a press release from DPRO Dimapur.


In the meeting, the Board also recommended the proposal for registration of society for Great Commission Kids Academy, Naga United Village.


Further, the Board members recommended the proposals for opening of new school - Tuyitu foundation school at Diphupar village and also Good will school at Nihekhu, Dimapur. The board also decided to forward to the government with regard to the proposal for creation of new EAC administrative headquarter at Aqahuto, Dimapur.  


With the mushrooming of several universities, colleges and schools, DC Dimapur reminded the DEO and SDEO to ensure that quality education is imparted in the educational institutions.


Administrator DMC, Moa Sangtam while presenting the departmental activity highlighted on the project "A better Dimapur" initiated by DMC with an objective to bring a cleaner, greener and healthy Dimapur through community participation. He urged upon all the officers under Dimapur district to be a part of the project.


PWD (R&B) Er Talitemsu also highlighted on the status of the two bridges (Nagarjan Bridge and the bridge over Chathe River behind Referral hospital) which are under construction at Dimapur.


Urban Development and district Agriculture departments have been entrusted to make a presentation on the ongoing activities of their respective departments in the next DPDB meeting.
