Dimapur, May 6 (DIPR): The monthly District Planning and Development Board meeting of Dimapur District for the month of May was held in DC's Conference Hall Dimapur on May 5. The meeting was chaired by Revenue Officer, Dimapur, B. Henok Buchem.
During the meeting the board recommended registration of society of The Art of Living Nagaland at Pudumpukhuri, Dimapur and opening of Shemrock Primary School 4th Mile, Diphupar, Dimapur and Greenland School, Lotovi Village, Dimapur basing on verification reports. The House also recommended on issue of No Objection Certificate for running of B.Ed. M.Ed. etc at Isaac Newton School, Dimapur.
PowerPoint presentation on the programmes and activities of Social Welfare Department under Dimapur District was given during the meeting. The Department of Geology & Mining also gave a presentation about the basic functions and its activities and achievements of their department.
The Revenue Officer, during the meeting expressed concern and need of deterrent measures over the encroachment of government land by different parties and not vacating Government quarters after retirement or when asked to by the employees. He also asked the gathering to be cautious while buying plots and also explain the importance of timely payment of yearly taxes. The meeting ended with vote of thanks from the chairman.
