Dimapur, December 5 (MExN): Delhi Public School (DPS), Dimapur got its Atal Tinkering Laboratory (ATL) inaugurated by SI Jamir, Chairman, Dimapur Public School Society on December 5 in the presence of Dr Aotoshi, Pro Vice Chairman, BK Nanda, Principal, teachers and students of the school.
The lab is set up with the grant of Niti Ayog, Government of India.
DPS, Principal, BK Nanda in a press release stated that The Lab (ATL) will promote and facilitate inquisitive young minds to innovate and explore the new dimensions in science and technology and entrepreneurship. The lab is equipped with educational learning ‘do it yourself kits’, electronic and robotic tools, 3D printers, sensors etc.
“The school students will get the opportunity to bring their inner creativity to life by making and presenting models using the available resources,” the press release stated.
This Lab as a working space is also designed to serve as a community hub of ideas and innovation. Students are now given an extra platform to experiment with their ideas, and will be implementing their ideas and skills hands-on.
“The school is prepared to ensure productivity during innovative trails with the help of the teachers and students who have been trained in the lab training programme recently,” the Principal added.
